Responsibilities

  • Teaching swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety rules to students with varying swimming abilities.

  • Assisting more experienced swimmers to enhance their swimming abilities.

  • Assessing the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly.

  • Monitoring students to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Implementing ground rules for each swim session.

  • Planning swimming lessons that take into account students’ abilities and progressive development.

  • Identifying incorrect swimming techniques and correcting students accordingly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Proven experience working as a swim instructor or lifeguard.

  • CPR, First Aid, and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Basic Swim Instructor (BSI) certifications.

  • Sound knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rules.

  • Strong swimming abilities.

  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Passionate and enthusiastic.

  • Abide by the policies and procedures listed in the 212 Fitness Employee Handbook.

Salary

  • $19.93 to $29.93 per hour

Personal Trainer

General Responsibilities

  • To provide a professional level of personal training that will enhance the growth and success of the 212 Fitness training programs and clients.

  • To strive to create and improve the physical wellness of the clients and members at 212 Fitness.

  • To make every training session the best part of each client’s day.

  • To live by and follow 212 Fitness’s Purpose and Core Values.

Qualifications

  • Current certifications in CPR and AED training; one-on-one experience with training clients.

  • Current certifications in personal training from at least one of the following nationally accredited organizations: ACSM, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, CHEK, ACE, Pilates Alliance, STOTT Pilates, and other approved certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold current personal training and safety related certifications at all times.

  • Continue to educate and advance professional skills to better serve clients.

  • Properly and safely assess, design and implement fitness programs on an individual or group training basis.

  • Independently keep accurate records on individual clients’ progression.

  • Fill out all related paperwork and submit payroll in the Pro Fitness Program completely and on time.

  • Keep accurate accounting of client’ sessions and initiate renewals when due.

  • Maintain professionalism and client confidentiality.

  • Ability to develop a progressive program design for any client.

  • Be confident of the programs offered and possess a skill to sell the value of personal training to clients and members alike.

  • Strive to meet all individual and team hour and revenue goals.

  • Be a team player and help the entire fitness department provide quality and professional services to all members.

  • Attend required meetings.

  • Always wear the 212 Fitness uniform when on duty.

  • Abide by the policies and procedures listed in the 212 Fitness Employee Handbook.
