Talk about Longevity

In August, 2025 we’re celebrating 18 years of business in Stevens Point! We have a handful of staff members that have been here since the beginning. Let’s hear from them!

Julie:

Working in the pool as both an Aquatic Fitness Trainer and Swimming Instructor has been an incredible and fulfilling experience. I've helped people with their fitness journeys, rehab injuries, overcome fears of the water, and learn to swim. I started my career believing "there's no such thing as a bad day in the pool" and 18 years later I still feel the same way!

Mary:

As I look back over the years at 212 Fitness the thing that stands out the most for me is the people- Members, Staff, & Community.

I have always wanted to make a difference in people's lives, and be a part of their "story". As much as I have strived to do this I can honestly say that the 212 "Family" has given way more to me. I have personally lived the highest highs and the lowest lows in this building, and I can without a doubt say that I am who I am today because of this facility and the amazing people in it past, present, and future.

I am so very thankful for all of you!!! So CHEERS to 18 years and many more.


Robyn:

I’m Robyn Laughlin-Eron. I teach Yoga, Pilates Mat and Pilates Reformer classes and have been teaching at 212 since February of 2008.

Over the years I have been so grateful and so honored to be able to share these mindful movement practices with 212 members.

My favorite part is that I get to see so many smiling faces throughout the club and inside my classes.

We have all built an amazing community here at 212 Fitness!

Julie:

I started teaching Body Pump at 212 shortly after we opened and soon after added a cardio kickboxing and TRX classes to my schedule. Body Balance followed shortly after and then Express Cycle.

I have been inspired watching people show up again and again, even when they know it’s going to be hard work. My favorite memories would have to be the huge Les Mills launches we did. We wore fun costumes and did dance breaks, even once teaching Body Pump and Body Balance in cutoff jeans and cowboy boots!

Lori:

Hi everyone, I'm Lori Schneider. I have been a member of 212 since it opened in 2007. I have been teaching BodyPump since May 2009 and BodyBalance since September 2010.

I teach classes at 5:30AM and yes, there are lots of people that like to work out at that time! I have really enjoyed teaching all these years and motivating and challenging the members taking my classes.

I have met lots of great people throughout the years. My regular class members, who have become friends, are the best! They will drive through snow storms to get to class and have supported me during my recent rotator cuff surgery and I thank them.
